5 high-end pieces I bookmarked from London Fashion Week

While there are more Bottegas available than a street style photographer can capture on their own, you’ll also find that attendees at London Fashion Week love wearing high street pieces just as much as the next human being. The difference may be that publishers, buyers, and the like have a bit more experience when it comes to choosing affordable items that really look expensive and really last. As a discerning group, we’re quite opposed to throwaway fashion or wearing something only once, so time spent selecting key items in cheaper stores is something you can all benefit from. We’ve done a lot of trawling, testing and returning to be confident in what we actually recommend.

The street style trends at LFW have been a mix of luxury basics (think the beige summer pants trend has continued …) and avant-garde (hello, crazy, bright color clashes) , so it makes sense that high street articles have noticed that the trends reflect the same duality. From simple and timeless items like a leather skirt from COS to something more vibrant like a popping pink dress from Warehouse, these are the best street pieces we saw in the street style at London Fashion Week. this September …

Style Notes: The sheen of pink and the generous volume of the fabric of this Warehouse dress make it much more special than a street find. It’s perfect for the holiday season, but we also love the way Stella dressed it up with black boots here.

Style Notes: Sandra’s sleek jumpsuit will work year after year, and since leather returns as a trend every fall, it will also tick the box to look current.

COS Nappa leather A-line midi skirt (£ 250)

Style Notes: I was only talking about leather when it comes to the COS skirt above, but the shopping street specializes in pants as well. These smart sweatpants from Karen Millen are one of the only pairs of plus size genuine leather pants I can find, so they’re worth checking out.

Karen millen Curve bespoke leather jogging bottoms (£ 159)

Style Notes: We’ve seen the waistcoat gain prominence, and it’s one of those trends that you can’t identify as cheap or expensive, no matter where the item is from. This Mango one looks so chic with straight jeans and cowboy boots.

Mango Buttoned suit waistcoat (£ 36)

Style Notes: I told you once, and I’ll say it again: JW Pei’s bags are what you pay for. Several urban style women have been seen wearing the Gabbi gathered handle bags, so consider this another alert!

Then these are the fall 2021 trends to know right now.
