Electronic catch disposal records are now available through elog software providers

The Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) reminds fishermen and fish receivers that elog software can now be used to submit Electronic Catch Elimination Records (eCDRs).

Catch disposal records are used by fisheries managed under the quota system to collect and maintain data on species caught.

AFMA has conducted live trials of eCDRs with boats and receivers, and the system is working well, with fishermen and fish receivers commenting on the easy-to-use eCDRs.

Anglers interested in using eCDRs should check with their elog provider for the availability of this feature in their software.

AFMA has created an easy-to-use Fish Receptor Portal in GoFish to allow fish receptors to enter their part in the eCDR.

ECDRs are now available to all approved Commonwealth concession holders for the Line, Trawl and Gillnet method of fishing and their Commonwealth Receiving (Receiver) fish license holders. ECDRs for fish landed from other fishing methods (fisheries) will be online soon.
