Things to do this month in Ibiza | July 2021
Today is July 1 and here in Ibiza it really feels like we are starting a new beginning. Not only is the island getting busier, but the calendar of events is filling up. Even the first party announcements are coming.
Visitors will certainly have no shortage of entertainment options this month.
Here is an overview of some highlights take place in the next 31 days.
Opening of Café Mambo
What a way to start the month. Cafe Mambo opens on Thursday July 1 from 6 p.m.
Later than usual, but you know what they say: Better late than never!
One of the first rooms in Ibiza opens its doors for the first time this year. The sunsets themselves are never gone, of course. Only now we have the added bonus of world class service to go view – and Mambo has the best seats in the house. Open daily thereafter.
Summer begins at O Beach
Maintain the dynamic of opening events, O Beach Ibiza is next on the list. Friday July 2 is the long awaited date of its Opening Party.
The time has come to settle in with your friends, grab a bed and listen to evocative tunes by the swimming pool. We missed it. As usual, the tunes will be loaded by the group of talented resident DJs from O Beach.
The hippie market of Punta Arabi returns
Trawling and picking market stalls handmade crafts, jewelry and clothing is part of the authentic Ibiza experience. Since last week, the oldest and largest hippie market in Ibiza, Punta arabi resumed its activities.
Next opening Wednesday July 7 then weekly until the end of October, Punta Arabi offers a great day out for the whole family, with live music and entertainment also widely offered.
Ibiza comes back to life
Now that Ibiza has been put on the UK’s green list, tourists have started to arrive and business plans can finally take off. This includes Ibiza rocks, whose program actually begins on July 8.
Lighter-producer Nathan Dawe takes care Thursdays and plays at the curtain-raiser, while Cuckoo Land with Jess Bays begins July 9, Applebum begins July 10, Joel Corry begins July 11, and Garage Nation begins July 12.
TOHRU ON TOUR
One for the gourmands then. Two Michelin starred chef Tohru Nakamura makes a two-date banter with 7 Pines Resort Ibiza at July 9 and 10. If the thought of Tohru teams up with 7 Pines chef, Andrés Fernández possesses your taste buds on alert, then book today to secure your dining places.
Rafa Macarrón art exhibition in Salinas
Of saturday july 10, art lovers can enjoy a collection of 15 Rafa Macarronthe paintings of. All completed this year and painted in the style critics call “Macarrón’s universe”, the works titled El Bañista will be displayed at La Nave Salinas Foundation. In doing so, he is the first Spanish artist invited to organize the space. Don’t miss it magical realism.
Beginning of Cova Santa’s gastroclub and mixology program
The evenings are not quite back with the dancefloors at the time of going to press, but as you will see on our holiday calendar there are first options. Cova Santa Claus organizes daily events with table service only. Think of gourmet and extravagant cocktails, but with entertainment and DJ added.
The new concept for 2021 sees Cova Santa rebranded as a Gastroclub and Mixology center under the watchful eye of the restorer Xabi Alba.
